Body 245 is a fine stoneware quality without chamotte. The firing colour is from light to beige.
The body is very well suitable for throwing on the potter’s wheel and belongs to the so-called lower-sintering bodies. Thus the energy consumption can be minimized during firing.
It is good for combining with casting body 245.
The recommended firing temperature is 1000 °C – 1150 °C.
